Greetings, Aspire CC Family,
Over the last couple of weeks, I mentioned that we would start our “714 Prayer Consecration”. During that time, I mentioned that we intended to start this journey on Monday, January 6, 2025, and will continue until Sunday, January 26, 2025.
We have several reasons why we want to do a prayer consecration. First, as a church, we desire to create a culture of prayer. It is incredibly necessary for the health and well-being of a church. In addition, prayer is vital to a person’s spiritual growth and development. With prayer as a central focus of our church, we are confident that we are building a church on a solid foundation.
Second, prayer allows us to eliminate any noise that prevents us from hearing God’s voice when he speaks. With all of the challenges that the year 2024 has offered us, we want to recapture the time and energy we put into chasing other things and not God. Consecrating is a way to re-capture intimate time alone with God and aligning our spiritual life to the word of God.
Please watch some of the videos and download some of the prayer models to help you shape your time of prayer and fasting. It will help you get started, but the success of a consecration rests in your ability to overcome obstacles that you will face along the way. Consecrating will help you to hear from God clearer while strengthening your inner man.
Finally, we will work to offer some additional resources on our website, Facebook and our other social media platforms to assist you with encountering Jesus. I encourage you to set aside a personal time of devotion that speaks directly to your intention to seek God.
I pray you are as excited about this journey as I am. My prayer is that at the end of this time of consecration, you will have an experience and testimony of God’s presence in your life.
Blessings to you,
Pastor Stephon
